Costa is a former federal judge with the Southern District of Texas as well as the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. He is currently the Global Co-Chair of Gibson Dunn's Trials Practice Group. </p>

<p>Everyone at the law school is welcome to attend. 1Ls are encouraged to ask about Gibson Dunn. Chief Justice Hecht served on the Supreme Court of Texas for 36 years before retiring in 2024. Before his time as a Judge, he served as a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy Reserve Judge Advocate General’s Corps. </p>

<p>Chief Justice Hecht is currently a partner at Jackson Walker in the litigation practice group in Austin.
