SUMMARY:WLC's Public Interest 1L Summer Panel
DESCRIPTION:
This event will be a lunch and information session panel
that is meant to have around 20-25 students attending (based on last
year's event data). There will be four 2Ls who will provide insight to
1Ls about their summer internships that were specifically in public
interest. Two 2Ls will be speaking about their internships out-of-state
and providing advice on obtaining an internship outside of Texas. The
other 2Ls will be discussing their internship experience in Texas. I am
trying to find a balance of impact litigation and direct client services
in a variety of public interest spaces like immigration\, criminal
justice\, etc.\, to showcase to 1Ls in WLC the variety of internships
that are out there. There will be an open Q&A towards the end of the
event\, and I will act as the moderator for the first 25 minutes.
If
you need an accommodation to participate in this event, please contact
the event sponsor or the Texas Law Special Events Office at
specialevents@law.utexas.edu no later than seven business days prior to
the event.
