Biography

Pam Sigman has served as Clinical Professor & Director of the Juvenile Justice Clinic since 1996. Currently, she serves as a judge for the City of Austin Municipal Court. Pam practiced law for thirty years in both the public and private sector. As a partner with Sigman & Sigman, L.L.P., her practice centered on representation of juveniles in delinquency cases and parents and children in child welfare cases. Prior to joining the UT faculty, Pam was a staff attorney at the Travis County Juvenile Public Defender’s Office from 1992-1996 where she defended over 1200 juvenile cases including the serious offender caseload and also served in private practice in Jasper, Texas from 1989-1991. Pam has spoken at various CLE events and served as chair of Court Appointed Family Advocates and a board member of the Travis County Model Court Executive Committee and Collaborative Council. She is board certified in Juvenile Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Pam graduated from U.T. Austin in 1986 and Texas Tech School of Law in 1989.
