Special Events Office

At this time, the following event guidelines are in place and will be effective through December.

  • We will approve outdoor events (on or off campus) and food can be served. If it rains, the event needs to be canceled, moved undercover, or moved indoors without food – we will not approve group food distribution/consumption to be moved indoors because of weather.
  • We will approve indoor events, but without food or drink (on or off campus). If an indoor event organizer wants to provide food, it needs to be disbursed at an outdoor location with presumed encouragement to eat outside.
  • No “mandatory attendance” events will be approved to be held indoors, or outdoors with food.

Special Events has six outdoor event spaces under Texas Law Rooms. If you have any questions regarding hosting your event outdoors, email SpecialEvents@law.utexas.edu and one of us will be happy to assist.

The Special Events Office works with current faculty, staff, and students to plan and execute all major Law School events.
