Letter of Intent

We are delighted that you will be joining the Class of 2020!

As an entering student, you will not be asked to submit an additional enrollment deposit. However, we do ask that you complete the Letter of Intent (LOI). The LOI serves as a commitment to attend The University of Texas School of Law. You must print and complete the LOI and return it to the Admissions Office via e-mail or mail by end of day, Monday, June 5, 2017, to maintain your seat.

Please note that after the LOI deadline, the Law School reserves the right to cancel the matriculation of any student who is reserving seats in both our entering class and the entering class of another law school.

If you have not already done so, please submit your digital headshot photograph in JPEG format, which will become part of your Law School record. You may log in with your UT EID and password at https://law.utexas.edu/profiles/upload to upload your photo.

As a reminder, Orientation begins Wednesday, August 23, 2017, attendance is mandatory, and the first day of class is Wednesday, August 30, 2017. Detailed information regarding your section assignment, class schedule, and Orientation schedule will be available in early August on your status page.

We will continue to monitor our class size over the next few months so that, if necessary, applicants on the waitlist can be accommodated. Therefore, returning the Letter of Intent is essential.  Understandably, plans change. If you are unable to attend, please contact our office as soon as possible. Otherwise, we look forward to seeing you this August!
