Advanced Criminal Skills
This course takes a case from its inception through trial, plea or dismissal.  Students perform weekly skills on different case elements such as case evaluation, pretrial motions, plea negotiations, witness preparation and trial.  Ethics is also included.  This course is recommended for those interested in a career in criminal law, especially those considering employment in either a prosecutor’s or public defender’s office.

Advanced Problem Solving
Lawyers are always problem solvers. Clients present complex intractable problems and need lawyers with skills to rise to the occasion. This class teaches students the Creative Problem Solving method and how to apply it in legal settings. Students work in small groups each session, practicing each stage of the process. Students will cement the process by applying the CPS technique three times over the course, twice during class and once outside of class.

Advanced Strategic Planning in Civil Litigation
An advanced course focusing on real-life cases and key strategic decisions made immediately before and during trial to position you for success . A nationally renowned trial master will demonstrate, share secrets and teach strategy.

Emerging Skills for Litigators
Two top litigators teach practical skills and tips on everything from social media to managing massive discovery.  If it’s new in litigation they know it

Narration and Problem Solving for Litigation   
Whether you are going to trial as a criminal or civil lawyer, to arbitration or to mediation, your case has to have a theme.  This class borrows from the Creative Problem Solving method but uses it in a unique way, teaching students how to design and develop a process to generate and evaluate case themes, narratives, discovery plans, etc.

Taking Depositions and Handling Expert Witnesses
This course focuses on how to prepare for, take and defend depositions of lay and expert witnesses. Students learn to prepare expert reports and prepare and present expert witnesses in hearings, depositions and trials. It is a skills based course where students actually take depositions and conduct hearings with their experts.
