SUMMARY:Public Interest Summer Jobs
DESCRIPTION:<p>PILA is hosting a public interest summer job panel for 1Ls and 2Ls for students to share their experiences of the day-to-day work in different public interest jobs.  We are going to have 4 speakers discuss their experiences in their summer public interest jobs:</p>
  <p>·      Kelsey Snapp worked at the National Office of Appleseed in Austin Texas doing policy advocacy</p>
  <p>·      Kathryn Olson worked at the Texas ACLU in Austin doing impact litigation work</p>
  <p>·      Alec Swafford worked at the Orleans Public Defenders Office in New Orleans doing indigent criminal defense</p>
  <p>·      Kimberly Ashworth worked at the Cook County State Attorney’s Office Juvenile Division doing criminal prosecution work  </p>
  <p>
  Please join us to hear about their experiences and ask questions. We will be serving pizza.</p>
