In lieu of a bar review next week, Delta Theta Phi will be hosting its second annual VolleyBar Review: A Charity Fundraiser Volleyball Tournament on WEDNESDAY 2/22! Last year's event was a great success, and with amazing participation from journals, student orgs, and affinity groups we raised over $1000 for Volunteer Legal Services of Central Texas. So, get your team (or teams, if you dare) prepared and register every day in the atrium before next Wednesday!
Where: Aussie's Grill & Beach Bar, 306 Barton Springs Rd When: Wednesday, February 22, 2012 Tournament: 8:00PM-12:30AM Bar Review: 8:00PM - 2:00AM
Benefitting: Volunteer Legal Services of Central Texas
Drink Specials: Free drink tickets for tournament participants and early spectators, sponsored by Kaplan $3 Ritas; rocks or frozen $3 Land Shark and Dos XX pints $2 “Throwback” Cans (PBR, Lone Star, Keystone Lt.)
Cost: Come cheer for free, or enter the tournament for: $10/person or $40/team of 4 (Non-DTP members) $5/person or $20/team of 4 (Current DTP members) FREE for New DTP members (Stop by the atrium table for membership information) Tournament entry includes a T-shirt and drink ticket for each tournament participant!
Prizes: Grand Prize: Engraved trophy, $1000 off Kaplan Bar Review Course for winning team Best Team Theme: Crown & Anchor Gift cards Various gift cards for Second Place, Semi-finalists, MVP, Spike of the Night, and Best Volleyball Attire (multiple!)
So come out, drink, be merry, and dominate the lesser student orgs on the sand-court. Now we can establish the true pecking order of the journals and orgs, once and for all (well, until next year).
