    SCOTUS Review

    On Thursday, Sept. 6, 11:30 am – 1 pm, you are invited to attend the SCOTUS review of prominent decisions of last term. Joey Fishkin, Bill Sage and Larry Sager will address aspects of the Obamacare decision and Mike Churgin and Barbara Hines will discuss the Arizona immigration law case. The talk will take place in the Francis Auditorium. Pizza will be served.

    Texas Law Fellowships 1L Info Meeting

    This meeting is for 1Ls who are interested in joining Texas Law Fellowships as 1L representatives. TLF is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that raises money and funds fellowships for students who spend their summers doing unpaid public interest work. TLF is a fun way to help others and get involved.

    PS Table Talk - Breakfast with the Dean

    The Career Services Office invites UT Law students and faculty to visit with both Dean Farnsworth and employers who will be participating in Public Service Table Talk. Breakfast will be held from 8:30-9:30 a.m. in the Sheffield Room. Public Service Table Talk will be held in the Susman Godfrey Atrium from 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. and is open to all UT Law students.

    Please join us in welcoming public service organizations to our campus and sharing information on new developments within the UT Law public service community. We also hope to exchange ideas on creating more opportunities for students to serve the public.

    ELS Happy Hour

    The Environmental Law Society is hosting its first happy hour of the year on Thursday, September 13th at 6:00pm at Crown & Anchor, 2911 San Jacinto Boulevard. Come and meet other students interested in environmental law.

    The Environmental Law Society is a social and professional student organization at the Law School that coordinates and brings together environmentally-minded students for educational, volunteer, career-oriented and social events. ELS provides students with networking events, an environmental job database, and its members' various experiences in order to assist fellow members in pursuing environmental career opportunities both during and after Law School. ELS also sponsors hiking and camping trips, happy hours, and speakers in an effort to provide a better Law School experience for its members.
