  <p>Human Rights Law Society is putting on, for the general body, their second educational event on the basics of Human Rights Law.</p>
  <p>Daniel M. Brinks, Associate Professor at UT and Co-Director of the Bernard and Audre Rapoport Center for Human Rights and Justice, will be narrowing in on a category of Human Rights, talking specifically about Economic, Social, and Cultural rights. </p>
  <p>Professor Brinks' research focuses on the role of the law and courts in supporting or extending human rights and many of the basic rights associated with democracy, with a primary regional interest in Latin America. Professor Brinks was born and raised in Argentina and practiced law in the U.S. for nearly ten years before turning to academia. He holds a PhD from the University of Notre Dame and a JD from the University of Michigan.
