SUMMARY:LAND USE PLANNING CONFERENCE
DESCRIPTION:<p>The Land Use Planning Conference is a must for anyone involved in land use, planning and land use law in Texas. The conference focuses on real-world problems and offers practical solutions, and brings together an outstanding faculty including developers' attorneys, land use planners, local government attorneys, engineers, and state and local regulators.</p>
  <p>Hear in-depth discussion on how the land development process in Texas actually works with guidance and advice from the experts on the myriad issues confronting the development community and federal, state and local governments.</p>
  <p>2013 Program highlights include:</p>
  <p>- Case law and legislative updates
  - Series of presentations on public-private partnerships, including financing and ethical issues
  - Fair Housing and confronting “Not in My Back Yard,” plus new uses in residential areas
  - Special Districts: Policy Issues
  - Demographic Characteristics and Trends in Texas: Implications for Land Use
  - Friday morning breakfast breakout sessions on timely issues
