SUMMARY:Safe Homes Panel Discussion
DESCRIPTION:<p>A discussion on what can be done to address unsafe living conditions at apartments across Austin. Following a presentation by a UT law student on recent reports examining national best practices for code enforcement and increasing safety in apartments, the panel will discuss what strategies should be adopted here locally. The panel will include a focus on two proposed rental registration ordinances coming before the Austin City Council on September 26th. This is the first event in a four-part Opportunity Forum series on Accessing Safe and Healthy Communities in Austin. </p>
  <p>Registration: Attendance is free but seating is limited and an RSVP is required. </p>
