SUMMARY:Postgraduate Public Interest Fellowships
DESCRIPTION:<p>Are you a 2L thinking of applying for a <a href="http://www.utexas.edu/law/career/public/postgraduate-fellowships.html">postgraduate public interest fellowship</a>? Are you a 3L thinking about applying for one after your judicial clerkship? A panel of current fellows will address how you should be preparing now to position yourself as a viable candidate for these highly competitive fellowships. Panelists include Lisa Philip ’09, Staff Attorney with <a href="http://www.disabilityrightstx.org/">Disability Rights Texas</a> (Austin) and former Skadden Foundation Fellow; Kyle Stock ’10, Legislative Fellow with the <a href="http://reproductiverights.org/">Center for Reproductive Rights</a> (NYC) and former George M. Fleming Health Law Fellow at the Southwest Women's Law Center (Albuquerque) ; Michael Cowles ‘12, current UT Law Glickman Fellow with the <a href="http://equaljusticecenter.org/">Equal Justice Center</a> (Dallas/Austin); and Stephanie Trinh ‘14, current 3L fellowship applicant. Moderated by Nicole Simmons, Director of Public Services Programs, Career Services Office, and Mary Crouter, Assistant Director of the William Wayne Justice Center for Public Interest Law.
