SUMMARY:Judicial Clerkship Workshop
DESCRIPTION:<p>On Friday, March 6, five judges from around the country will be at Texas Law to speak with students about clerkships and the application process. Every student who already has a 2016-term clerkship or is applying for a 2016 clerkship is required to attend the panel and one of the breakout sessions; 1Ls are also encouraged to attend.</p>
  <p>The following judges will be participating in the Workshop:  <a href="http://judgepedia.org/Leslie_Southwick">Judge Leslie Southwick</a>, U.S. District Court for the Fifth Circuit (Jackson, MS); <a href="http://judgepedia.org/Vince_Girdhari_Chhabria">Judge Vince Chhabria</a>, U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California (San Francisco, CA); <a href="http://judgepedia.org/Lance_Africk">Judge Lance Africk</a>, U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana (New Orleans, LA); <a href="http://judgepedia.org/Elaine_Kaplan">Judge Elaine Kaplan</a>, U.S. Court of Federal Claims (Washington, DC); and <a href="http://www.justicejeffbrown.com/">Justice Jeff Brown</a>, Supreme Court of Texas (Austin, TX).</p>
  <p>For a complete agenda, which includes the panel “Creating Your Strongest Clerkship Application,” from 9:00-10:00 a.m. in the Eidman Courtroom followed by breakout sessions with the judges from 10:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m., please contact Katie Deetjen at <a href="mailto:clerk-admin@law.utexas.edu">clerk-admin@law.utexas.edu</a>.</p>
  <p>Students may also RSVP by Wednesday, March 4, on <a href="https://law-utexas-csm.symplicity.com/students/">Symplicity</a>.
