SUMMARY:AJCL Spring Write-On (1Ls &amp; 2Ls)
DESCRIPTION:<p>1L  and 2L students interested in criminal law can join the Journal without completing the write-on process. Submit a resume (with grades, if available) and a statement of interest (500 word max) to Managing.AJCL@gmail.com by 2:00 PM on Friday 2/5. Students who receive a grade of of an 'A' or above in criminal will gain acceptance through the course grade alone.  
   
  By joining AJCL, members will have access to leaders in the criminal law field through brown-bag lunches with practitioners and professional development panels. This year we've spoken to DAs from the Travis County DA's office, federal public defenders, some of the top criminal defense attorneys in Austin, and federal prosecutors, including the head of the Criminal Division from the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Texas. Members will also have the opportunity to attend to our symposium, "The Frontiers of Cybersecurity and Law," featuring speakers from the DOJ, FBI, academia, and the private sector. The symposium runs from 2/4 to 2/6. Symposium seating is restricted to AJCL members due to strong demand. More information about the symposium can be found on the AJCL website, AJCLonline.org. </p>
