DESCRIPTION:<p>A workshop on how to write and pitch op-eds that are attractive to editors at national and state media outlets. The workshop will be led by Matt Pene, who runs Texas Perspectives, the university’s in-house op-ed publication and syndication service.</p>
  <p>In the past year, Matt has been able to guide opinion pieces from Texas Law faculty to the New York Times, Huffington Post, Washington Post, The Conversation, and The New Republic, as well as the Statesman, Dallas Morning News, Houston Chronicle and the San Antonio Express News.</p>
  <p>Matt will make a brief presentation, followed by a Q&amp;A.</p>\n\nIf you need an accommodation to participate in this event, please contact the event sponsor or the Texas Law Special Events Office at specialevents@law.utexas.edu no later than seven business days prior to the event.
