DESCRIPTION:<p>Join Texas Law's Indigent Defense Group for a roundtable discussion of ideas for improving indigent defense in Travis County and building on the recommendations of the Indigent Legal Services Working Group for the creation of a public defender office. </p>
  <p>Attending will be Travis County judges, members of the Indigent Legal Services Working Group, community members, and professors from the LBJ School of Public Affairs, the Hicks School of Social Work, and the legal academy. Come to contribute, ask questions, and inform yourself about this constitutionally pressing topic. </p>
  <p>Hosted by Indigent Defense Group, the registered student organization of Texas Law students interested in public defense.</p>\n\nIf you need an accommodation to participate in this event, please contact the event sponsor or the Texas Law Special Events Office at specialevents@law.utexas.edu no later than seven business days prior to the event.
