SUMMARY:GRITS General Meeting
DESCRIPTION:
GRITS is holding our first conference planning meeting with the board and new members. We will discuss developing panel ideas, conference format, and administrative goals.

If you want to help plan the GRITS 2023 Conference and haven't come to our prior events or heard much about us, feel free to join at the meeting!

"GRITS is a student-run, public interest law conference that focuses on the difficulties and constraints inherent to social justice work in the South, and the unique strategies that legal practitioners and other public interest workers have developed to meet those needs.

The conference emphasizes innovative, progressive, and even radical approaches to building community among students, practitioners, and community activists in the South to bring about social change.

The conference is an opportunity for law students, lawyers, and activists to build coalitions, share strategies for progressive lawyering, and develop new approaches for the future."
\n\nIf you need an accommodation to participate in this event, please contact the event sponsor or the Texas Law Special Events Office at specialevents@law.utexas.edu no later than seven business days prior to the event.
