DESCRIPTION:<p>This year marks the Texas Hispanic Journal of Law &amp; Policy's 2024 Symposium: "Elevar / Uplift" on topics in immigration law and uplifting Hispanic and Latinx immigrants through law. The Symposium explores the current legal experience of Hispanic and Latinx immigrants from the time they cross the U.S border to their grant of citizenship and beyond. Through panel discussions with legal experts and practicing attorneys, the Symposium panels examine immigration law through the lenses of constitutional law, disability law, and labor and employment law.
