DESCRIPTION:<p>Texas Law teaching legend Professor David Rabban is coming to Houston for a timely conversation about academic freedom and free speech—the topic of his new book, Academic Freedom: From Professional Norm to First Amendment Right, out now from Harvard University Press.</p>
  <p>Come join Prof. Rabban and fellow alumni at Gibson, Dunn &amp; Crutcher for cocktails and conversation, capped by a talk about the history of academic freedom in the United States, a survey of the case law, and Rabban’s own experience with the American Association of University Professors and the Academic Freedom Alliance. The evening will include remarks and a moderated Q&amp;A led by Gibson, Dunn &amp; Crutcher partner, Judge Gregg Costa ’99.</p>
