DESCRIPTION:<p>Join the Strauss Center for International Security and Law in hosting John Bockstanz, Innovation Policy Manager at Meta, and Abe Sorock, founder of LeadersAtlas, for a student career discussion on Tuesday, October 28th at from 11:50 am - 12:50 pm in the Jury Room (CCJ2.310). The discussion will focus on careers at the intersection of law, technology, and public policy. Kevin Frazier will moderate. Lunch will be provided. There is limited space, so please RSVP to Susan Crane at scrane@austin.utexas.edu and include any allergen restrictions.  </p>
  <p>John Bockstanz is an Innovation Policy Manager at Meta where he specializes in bringing to life the value of new technologies by celebrating the businesses, developers, educators, and institutions pioneering the use of open-source AI, wearables, and extended reality. Before joining Meta in 2016, John graduated from West Point and served as an officer in the US Army with combat deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq. John and his husband live with their daughter and golden retriever in Austin, Texas.</p>
  <p>Abe Sorock is the founder of LeadersAtlas, helping corporate teams and professional communities connect and learn from each other through our AI-powered Mosaic app that helps users share their impact stories in engaging and relevant ways. LeadersAtlas started in the expatriate community in Beijing, China, and has grown to serve leaders and their teams across the US, Europe, and Asia.
