Chief Justice Hecht served on the Supreme Court of Texas for 36 years before retiring in 2024. Before his time as a Judge, he served as a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy Reserve Judge Advocate General’s Corps. </p>
  <p>Chief Justice Hecht is currently a partner at Jackson Walker in the litigation practice group in Austin.
