    First, second- and third-year students and alumni up to one year after graduation are eligible to participate in Spring On-Campus Interviews per employer requests. Online bidding takes place January 28-February 4, 2013 via UT Law Symplicity.

    Public Service Career Fair (Day I)

    Hosted annually by the UT Law Career Services Office, Public Service Career Fair (PSCF) is the largest public service job fair for law students in Texas. During both days of PSCF, which will be held January 31-February 1, 2013, public interest and government employers will conduct on-campus interviews for paid and unpaid summer and permanent positions in the Career Services Interview Suite. On Thursday, January 31, certain employers will also host informational tables in the Law School's Susman Godfrey Atrium from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

    Public Service Career Fair Table Talk

    During the first day of Public Service Career Fair (PSCF), representatives from public interest organizations, as well as federal, state and local government agencies will host informational tables, which provide an excellent opportunity for students to network and find out about current volunteer opportunities, summer internships and postgraduate positions. All UT Law students are encouraged to stop by. Please be sure to bring a copy of your resume for employers participating in Table Talk as they may request a copy.

    A Conversation with ABA President

    Join us for a conversation with ABA President Laurel Bellows on Leadership and Entrepreneurship, hosted by the Women's Law Caucus, the Center for Women in Law, and the Career Services Office. Many thanks to Kirkland & Ellis and Ms. JD for sponsoring this event!

    ABA President Laurel Bellows will be speaking on leadership and entrepreneurship and answering questions from young attorneys and law students nationwide via a live streaming event. If you have a question, please submit no later than Thursday, January 17, on Ms. JD's Facebook Page or to Ms. JD's Twitter Account (@msjdtweets).

    Ms. Bellows is the principal of her own law firm, The Bellows Law Group, P.C., as well as the current president of the American Bar Association. She was the second woman president of the 22,000-member Chicago Bar Association, and has been listed among Working Mother Magazine's 25 Most Influential Working Mothers in the country among other awards and distinctions. Laurel's presentation is an unsurpassed opportunity for law students and junior attorneys to get tips and tricks for tackling leadership and entrepreneurship in the law.

    U.S. Navy JAG Information Session

    Come learn about opportunities to practice law in the U.S. Navy JAG Corps program, including the internship program. LT Maryam Biazar, JAGC, USN, and Legal Assistance Attorney (Corpus Christi) will be available to answer questions about the Navy in general, the U.S. Navy JAG Corps program specifically, and will assist students in application process should they decide to apply.     Heather Jarvis

    On Friday, February 1, Heather Jarvis will be speaking about "Public Service Loan Forgiveness in Five Easy Steps" during lunch from noon-1:15 p.m. as part of the Public Service Career Fair. Many government and nonprofit professionals stand to gain tens of thousands of dollars of student debt relief from the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program established by the College Cost Reduction and Access Act. But the program requirements can be confusing. Heather knows how to break it down step-by-step so it makes sense once and for all. She'll also be discussing the new Pay As You Earn Repayment Plan.

    A former capital defense attorney with law school debt, Heather Jarvis now dedicates her expertise to helping student loan borrowers make better decisions so that higher education can be a reality for all - not just those who can afford it.
