Antitrust Under the Obama Administration:
DOJ, FTC, Texas, and Private Practitioners’ Perspectives
Wednesday, September 12 from 3:00-5:00 p.m.
King & Spalding is hosting an antitrust panel discussion regarding Antitrust Enforcement under the Obama Administration in its Austin office (Frost Bank Tower, 401 Congress, 11th Floor) from 3:00-5:00 p.m. with a reception to follow. The panel will feature officials from the Department of Justice, Federal Trade Commission, and Texas Attorney General’s office. It’s rare for DOJ/FTC officials to present their views in person outside of Washington, D.C. and the panel will not only discuss enforcement in the past few years, but will also contrast what a second Obama term would like with a possible Romney term. Jeff Spigel, the head of the K&S Antitrust Practice, will also weigh in with a private practitioners’ perspective.
Presenters will include Jeff Perry, Assistant Director of the Bureau of Competition, Federal Trade Commission; Jeff Spigel, Partner with King & Spalding; William H. Stallings; Chief of the Transportation, Energy, and Agriculture (TEA) Section, U.S. Department of Justice Antitrust Division; and Kim Van Winkle, Chief of the Antitrust Section at the Texas Attorney General’s Office
The firm is also broadcasting the conference via a webinar, and all are welcome to dial in. You may register to attend in person or remotely by webinar.
