Learn about careers in government from professionals that work in a wide variety of governmental agencies including the Texas Education Agency, Texas Lobbying Association, the Texas Department of Health Services, and the Texas House of Representatives. Panelists Tom Best, a UT Law grad who works at the Texas Department of Health Service, says that ultimately working for the state has been much more profitable than when he worked in private practice. Gain perspective on the versatility of a law degree and how it can be used in many positions in public administration. Presented by the Vick Center for Strategic Advising & Career Counseling and School of Undergraduate Studies.
