Austin Inn of Court Dinner & Networking Opportunities for 2Ls & 3Ls – Application Extended to Sept. 8, 2016
Updated September 7, 2016 – The American Inns of Court is a national organization with the goal of promoting excellence and professionalism in the legal community. It seeks to accomplish this goal through local Inns made up of lawyers, judges, law professors, and second and third-year law students who meet monthly to discuss these issues in a setting that seeks to foster mentoring relationships between the participants. The model is the English Inns of Court system. The Inn provides an excellent opportunity for a select group of law students to interact with some of Austin’s best lawyers and judges.
Inns are an opportunity for local litigators to meet, network and learn from each other. The Lochridge Inn is a highly selective Inn of the top litigators and judges in Austin. Members include the Hon. Robert Pitman, Hon. Andrew Austin, Hon. Mark Lane, Hon. Debra Lehrman, Hon. Jeff Rose, Hon. Eric Shepperd, Hon. Todd Wong, Hon. Karen Sage, Hon. Elisabeth Earle, Steve McConnico, Mike McKetta, David Sheppard, Martha Dickie, and Dicky Grigg.
If you are interested in applying to become a student member of an Austin Inn of Court chapter, please email Marla Massin, firstname.lastname@example.org, to request an application. Fourteen law students (2Ls & 3Ls only) will be chosen from the applications that are received.
The completed applications are due back via email to Jacob Scheick, email@example.com, no later than Thursday, September 8, at noon.
