Equal Justice Works Conference & Career Fair Travel Sponsorship Available
Applications due by 4 p.m. on Monday, September 17, 2018

The Equal Justice Works Conference & Career Fair is one of the largest public service job fairs in the country and will take place October 26-27, 2018 at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City in Arlington, VA. More than 1,200 students from 150 law schools attend for two days of interviews, workshops, networking and other career opportunities.  Public interest employers conduct interviews for internship and full-time positions and meet with students in an informal table talk setting to discuss public interest legal opportunities.  The Conference and Career Fair also features workshops on various public interest careers and job search advice, resume and cover letter review, mock interviews, and more.

For those applying for preselected interviews, the online application period is now open and closes on Friday, September 14. For those students who are not seeking an interview and may want to attend the conference workshops and Table Talk only, you may register any time prior to October 26, 2018. Due to NALP guidelines, 1Ls are not eligible to interview with employers during the Equal Justice Works Career Fair. However, 1Ls may informally talk to employers during Table Talk on Friday and Saturday, and may also apply for the travel sponsorship below.

Travel Sponsorship Available. Dean Farnsworth has generously agreed to provide travel sponsorship for several current law students to attend the Equal Justice Works Conference & Career Fair. To apply for a travel award, please submit your resume, unofficial law transcript, and a brief essay (no more than two pages) describing why you would like to attend the Fair and why you need sponsorship. If you have applied for interviews, please indicate the employers you have applied to.

Submit your travel sponsorship application materials no later than 4 p.m. on Monday, September 17, 2018 to Lawson Konvalinka in the CSO at recruit@law.utexas.edu.
