- The Whitehurst Public Interest Summer Fellowships Program will provide funding for up to six 2Ls. The program provides fellowships of $4,500 for at least ten weeks of work with a qualified sponsoring organization. A sponsoring organization must be a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt non-profit providing legal services and/or advocacy to underrepresented individuals or communities. Government public defender offices qualify as sponsoring organizations for the Whitehurst fellowships. Preference will be given to students who intend to pursue careers in public interest law.
