Description

The course will expose students about to clerk in federal trial courts to legal issues that they will encounter and to the writing and research that they will be expected to do as clerks. Students will draft orders using real case files and complete other smaller assignments designed to prepare them for their clerkships. Attendance and the completion of all assignments are required. This class is only open to students who have already accepted a clerkship with either (1) a federal district judge, or (2) a federal magistrate judge. Enrollment is limited to 20. Interested students must fill out a short application form that is available in the Student Affairs Office.
