Description
Health care is 1/6th of the U.S. economy and growing. We spend more on health care than any other country as a percentage of GDP, yet the U.S. does not perform very well on a number of overall outcome measures. We will survey three important areas within the sprawling field of health law: Medical Malpractice, Health Care Insurance and Financing, and Regulation of Health Care Organizations. We will examine the extent to which these elements of health care regulation support or detract from the quality and safety of medical care.Instructors
