Description

A 3-hour advanced course for students interested in a litigation practice. We will explore real and current problems of contemporary litigation, including: the difficult choices in judicial selection and recusal; the incentives of litigation finance and settlement; the realities of complex litigation; the dilemmas presented by professional ethics and legal malpractice rules. There will be several guest speakers. Class attendance is important. Prerequisites: Federal Civil Procedure. Updated April 1, 2010: This course will NOT satisfy the Professional Responsibility requirement for graduation.
