Description
This seminar will survey several recent U.S. Supreme Court cases where friend of the court or amicus curiae briefs seemingly played a significant role in framing and/or deciding the issues presented to the court. Students will conduct independent research and prepare a paper focusing on a particular amicus or amici in shaping an appeal.Instructors
