Class Unique: 29250
This course will survey the fundamentals of the three main federal fields of intellectual property law: copyright; patent; and trademark law. In addition to the legal doctrines, economic as well as other philosophical justifications will be examined, in order to allow a better grasp of the current law and of possibilities for its reform. A special emphasis will be put on the application and development of intellectual property law in the context of recent technological changes.
