This course provides an introduction to tax and fiscal policy. We will address policy issues relating to the general structure of the income tax, policy considerations raised by objectives other than principally raising revenue, and the tax legislative process. The goal is to develop a knowledgeable and critical understanding of the basic principles of tax policy. Prerequisite: Federal Income Taxation.
