Class Unique: 29705
The subject of professional responsibility encompasses the law governing the conduct of lawyers and the legal profession. Although this class will focus on ethics issues facing transactions lawyers, it will also briefly cover all of the subjects needed to prepare for the Multistate Professional Responsibility Examination. The class will be taught through case studies and problems presenting issues for lawyers who do transactional work. Students will take an in class examination consisting of multiple choice and essay questions. They will also write a 3 page paper on an ethics topic of their own choice.
This course fulfills the Professional Responsibility requirement for graduation.
ADMINISTRATIVE NOTE: Since this class presumes working knowledge of U.S. business law and the U.S. legal system, LLM students are not eligible to enroll without the permission of the instructor.
