Description

The course has two components: a field placement and concurrent academic requirements administered online. Interns spend 165 hours over 6 or more weeks on law-related work at field placements anywhere in the country (and possibly outside the U.S.). Students are strongly encouraged to intern over a minimum of at least six weeks in order to maximize their learning opportunities in the field, but a five-week internship will be approved on an individual basis if necessary. They are supervised by attorneys with at least three years of experience who have agreed to participate in the internship program. Students identify potential placements and apply to the instructor for approval. See Students – Finding a Placement.

This is a 3-credit course (graded pass/fail) open to students who have completed their first two semesters.
