Description
This seminar offers students the opportunity to learn about a wide range of related topics, including public funding for reproductive health services; access to abortion and contraception; minors' rights; and the potential implications of assisted reproductive technologies. The course will highlight the perspectives of social justice and civil liberties as they intersect with reproductive rights, such as racial and environmental issues; LGBT rights; freedom from illegal search and seizure; rights to privacy, bodily autonomy, and equality; birthing, parenting, and family formation rights. There will be a short (maximum 2 pages) paper due weekly and either 2 ten page papers during the term or a long paper if a student has not yet completed their writing requirement.Instructors
