Former President of the Association of Women Attorneys Laura Gibson was named a member of the 2012 class of Women on the Move. Women on the Move recognizes leaders who have made a wide range of notable contributions to business and community service. This distinction has been given to remarkable women in the fields of business and law by the Texas Executive Women organization since 1985.
Laura Gibson is a founding partner of Ogden, Gibson, Broocks, Longoria & Hall LLC. She specializes in conducting complex commercial litigation and arbitrations in areas involving employment, banking, energy, securities, copyright and communications law. Laura has been recognized as one of the Best Lawyers in America in the field of Labor and Employment Law by Woodward/White since 2009. From 2011-12, Laura was the president of the Association for Women Attorneys in Houston. During her term, the association held their inaugural “Premier Women in Law” Luncheon, which honored female managing partners while raising money for scholarships for women law students. Laura’s community service efforts have helped educate and empower women and minorities. Her work includes tutoring 7th grade students and participating in Law Day programs for underprivileged schools.
