The Center for Women in Law convened leaders in law in Austin, Texas for the 2013 Women’s Power Summit on Law and Leadership™.

The Power Summit, held every two years, is one of the most significant gatherings of women attorneys in the country.  Law school deans, general counsel, federal and state judges, members of law firm management, government officials, state bar presidents, and other prominent women lawyers attended the 2013 Women’s Power Summit™, marking the third time leaders gathered in Austin to address issues of vital importance to women lawyers.

The Hon. Carolyn Dineen King

Judge, United States Court of Appeals for the 5th Cir.

Carolyn Dineen King is a Circuit Judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Judge King is a native of Syracuse, New York. She graduated from Smith College summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa in 1959 and from Yale Law School in 1962.

Anastasia D. Kelly

Co-Managing Partner (Americas) at DLA Piper, former Vice-Chairman of AIG, and former General Counsel of MCI/WorldCom, Sears, and Fannie Mae

Anastasia D. Kelly is the former Vice Chairman of American International Group (AIG), a role she held until the end of 2009. In this role, she was responsible for the global legal, compliance and regulatory functions, government relations, communications, corporate affairs and human resources.

Nancy Gertner

Judge, United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts (Ret.)

Judge Nancy Gertner is a graduate of Barnard College and Yale Law School where she was an editor on The Yale Law Journal. She received her M.A. in Political Science at Yale University.
