Center for Women in Law Founder Janiece Longoria will be honored as the 2013 Strong, Smart, and Bold Winner by Girls Inc. of Greater Houston at the 17th Annual Smart, Strong, and Bold Celebration Luncheon on Thursday, May 9.
Attended by nearly 500 business and community leaders, the Smart, Strong, and Bold Celebration Luncheon promotes the Girls Inc. of Greater Houston’s mission to encourage all girls to be strong, smart, and bold. The Smart, Strong, and Bold Winner award honors a woman whose example and leadership inspires girls to become independent, economically empowered young women.
Janiece Longoria is a partner at Ogden, Gibson, Broocks, Longoria, & Hall LLP. She has extensive experience in commercial litigation, particularly in the areas of securities litigation and securities arbitration. Appointed in 2013, Janiece is the first woman to Chair the Houston Port Authority. In 2008, Janiece was the recipient of the Sandra Day O’Connor Board Excellence Award, which honors women lawyers who have served as independent directors of public companies.
