2016 Women in Law Institute at Texas Law
Described by one partner at a top law firm as “the most practical tool I’ve encountered in my 20 years of practicing,” the Women in Law Institute is an all-day, intensive workshop for law students, judicial clerks, and LL.M.’s. Participants can look forward to expert presentations on the essential skills for navigating a successful career in law: effective communication, self-promotion, and networking. Following each lecture, students work in small groups led by distinguished practitioners (3:1 ratio) to perfect these skills through practice and individualized critiques in a supportive environment. More information on the focus of each workshop can be found in the session objectives.
Law Students, LL.M.s, and Judicial Clerks
Registration is open to all law students, LL.M.s, and judicial clerks. Participants will take part in all three workshops: (1) How to Communicate with Impact; (2) Demonstrate Your Value; and (3) Build Strategic Relationships.
