Kelly Mixon Morgan is the National Director of Attorney Hiring for Fish & Richardson, and is based in the firm’s Dallas office. She is responsible for the central management of the recruitment, orientation, and integration of attorneys, engineers, and scientists for all 12 offices of the firm, with duties that include identifying hiring needs and developing recruiting and retention strategies; managing the recruiting staff and budget; coordinating training and evaluation programs; and organizing diversity initiatives. She works with practice group leaders and management to establish hiring needs, process hiring decisions, create new hiring programs, and assist with strategic growth.
Ms. Morgan served as the Vice-Chair for the National Association for Law Placement’s 2012 Annual Education Conference to be held in Austin and on NALP’s 2010 Professional Development Institute’s conference planning team. She was elected to represent the Southeast Region’s employers on NALP’s 2008-2009 Nominating Committee. She currently serves on the Lawyer Professional Development Sub-Committee, from which she chaired the work group responsible for redesigning NALP’s Survey of Legal Career Professionals in Law Firms. Ms. Morgan is also a member of the Professional Development Consortium, where she served on past PDC Conference Planning and Website committees. She is a founding member of the Texas Professional Development Group, a past president of the Recruiting Administrators of Dallas and past member of the Recruiting Administrators of Austin.
