CWIL Founding Member Chris LaFollette Named #1 Texas M&A Dealmaker in 2015

CWIL Founder Chris LaFollette has been named the #1 Texas Mergers and Acquisitions Dealmaker in 2015. According to a Texas Lawbook article, Chris, corporate partner at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld, “led the most mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures or divestitures than any other lawyer” in Texas.

Linda Chanow, Executive Director of CWIL, was quoted in Law360 regarding the new EEOC rule issued by President Obama to uncover potential pay gap discrepancies.

President Obama Moves to Expand Rules Aimed at Closing the Gender Pay Gap

President Obama has expanded an executive order requiring companies to report to the federal government what they pay employees on criteria of race, gender, and ethnicity, as a means to close the pay gap.

CWIL Leader-in-Residence Roberta Liebenberg Named to Board of Directors of the American Antitrust Institute

CWIL Leader-in-Residence Roberta D. Liebenberg, a partner at Fine Kaplan and Black in Philadelphia, was named to the Board of Directors of the American Antitrust Institute (“AAI”).  The AAI is a national research, education and advocacy organization whose mission is to advance the role of competition in the economy, sustain the vitality of the antitrust laws, and protect consumers. Ms. Liebenberg focuses her practice on antitrust and complex commercial litigation and class actions.
