Finding Our Voice: A Women of Color Discussion Group

This weekly discussion group is open to students who are women of color of all ages. The group provides an opportunity to meet, share, increase community, and learn skills to navigate life successfully as a woman of color. It provides a safe, supportive, empowering, and liberating atmosphere for engaging in courageous and unique conversations at the intersection of race and gender. Common topics include, but are not limited to, relationships, culturally-specific family pressures and expectations, experience of racial stress, belongingness, and any other topics that feel relevant to participants. The group explores these themes from the lenses of women of color.

  • Meets weekly on Mondays
  • All graduate students are welcome. This free and confidential group is open to the entire UT student community.
