Biography
Michael Schmitt is Professor of Public International Law at the University of Reading Law School in the United Kingdom. Additionally, he serves as the G. Norman Lieber Distinguished Scholar at the Lieber Institute of the United States Military Academy at West Point and professor emeritus and Charles Stockton Distinguished Scholar-in-Residence at the United States Naval War College. At the University of Texas, he is a Visiting Professor of Law and Strauss Center Distinguished Scholar. Most importantly, Professor Schmitt is a Longhorn (read: Lawhorn), having graduated from Texas Law School in 1984.
