Biography

Dr. Taylor Canann is a Postdoctoral Fellow with the McCombs School of Business in the Center of Enterprise and Policy Analytics (CEPA) and a Distinguished Scholar in the Robert Strauss Center for International Security and Law, where he studies cyber policy, the economics of information and cybersecurity, and financial technologies. The current focus of Dr. Canann’s research is at the intersection of game theory and cybersecurity. He studies how policies alter the value and uses of cryptocurrencies. He also works on the impacts of vulnerability disclosure policies and Zero-Day exploits on both IoT networks and infrastructure in the United States and Latin America. Dr. Canann graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Ph.D. and an M.A. in Economics. He received a B.S. in both Economics and Mathematics from Brigham Young University.
