Human Rights Student Advisory Council
The Human Rights Student Advisory Council (HRSAC) offers undergraduate organizations working in human rights and social justice the opportunity to connect with the Rapoport Center, network with other like-minded organizations, and engage in collaborative human rights and social justice advocacy on the UT campus.
Through regular meetings and events, HRSAC aims to raise awareness of and promote an ongoing discourse about current human rights issues. HRSAC can assist partner organizations with publicity, volunteers, and funding for events and initiatives. It also hosts the annual Human Rights Awareness Day, which brings together organizations from across campus to engage in important dialogue on today's pressing human rights issues.
HRSAC welcomes all registered undergraduate organizations at UT that address international or transnational human rights and/or social justice, as well as individual at-large members. Member organizations select a representative to serve on the Council each semester and attend HRSAC's regular meetings. All undergraduate students with a demonstrated interest in international or transnational human rights and/or social justice are welcome to attend HRSAC meetings and participate in HRSAC activities.
