Gentrification Series: Protecting Tenants Displaced from Redevelopment Projects

A lunchtime panel discussion on policies to help protect tenants who are displaced from redevelopment projects. The panel will feature a recent report by UT law students examining the demolition of an apartment complex on East Riverside Drive last year that displaced more than 500 low-income tenants and the City’s ad hoc policy for dealing with displacement issues. Attendance is free but seating is limited. Lunch will be served.
