Driver License Reclamation Work Session and Clinic II with Driver License Reclamation Project, Mithoff Pro Bono Program

Students will assist individuals with driver license holds related to unpaid criminal justice debt. At the work session, students will assemble information packets for clinic participants and will determine their eligibility for services. At the clinic, students will meet with participants to help them navigate the driver license reclamation process, complete financial affidavits, and prepare them for an indigency hearing at an on-site Austin Municipal Court docket.

Organization

Driver License Reclamation Project, Mithoff Pro Bono Program

The Driver License Reclamation Project is a student-led internal project of the Richard and Ginni Mithoff Pro Bono Program dedicated to addressing how driver license suspensions contribute to a cycle of incarceration for debt and create significant employment barriers in low-income communities.
