Peacebuilding Treatise Project with Peace Through Commerce

Students will assist in editing a treatise on the peacebuilding model called the Matrix of Peace Whole Systems Model. A significant portion of student time will be dedicated to citation review and technical edits, though students may have some opportunity to draft text that covers real world examples of the peacebuilding principles covered in the treatise. The Matrix of Peace Whole Systems Model has been used to analyze the proceedings at the Nobel Peace Prize Forum in Oslo, Norway for the last three years. It also has been used in training Palestinian and Jewish women entrepreneurs in an Accelerating Women Entrepreneurs Program in Israel and the Palestinian Authority.

Organization

Peace Through Commerce

Peace Through Commerce is a program of EIRO– a strategic, global, and educational nonprofit corporation dedicated to creating a world where all people enjoy peace and prosperity. The word eiro in Greek means to join or bind together that which has been separated. EIRO’s peacebuilding technology—the Matrix of Peace Whole Systems Model— does this by bringing together historically siloed and sometimes hostile sectors, honoring the consciousness forces at work within them, and creating a systems model to understand them.
